Essence Walk on Air

Hi! Today I've got a swatch of one of the Essence polishes I picked up at Shopper's the other day. Walk on Air is a dark blue creme and in my opinion, so pretty! I'm wearing two coats in the photo below. This was my first experience with Essence and I'm impressed! The price is amazing ($1.49CAD), the dry time barely exists and I'm on day three of wearing this polish with minimal tip wear.

Essence at Shoppers!

I'm sure most of you Canadians have already heard that Essence is now available at Shoppers Drug Mart. Rebecca from Rebecca Likes Nails has a great post about it here, so if you'd like to learn a bit more about it click the link!

Today I went to Shoppers to check out the polishes since I've seen some great swatches of a few Essence polishes over the last couple of years. I was really pleased with the price, Essence polishes retail for $1.49 CAD, which is awesomely cheap and from what I've heard you get a great product. Anyway, I left with four polishes. From left to right they are Where is the party?, Space Queen, Choose Me! and Walk on Air.

Where is the Party? is a green/purple duochrome and it looks awesome in the bottle, hopefully it looks this good on my nails!

Space Queen is a multicolored glitter, can't wait to layer this!

Choose Me! is a gorgeous turquoise polish with a bunch of green and gold shimmer. It looks pretty much exactly like OPI Catch me in your Net which I've been wanting forever, so I was glad I could grab a bottle of this.

Walk on Air is a dark blue creme, very nice shade of blue.

St. Patrick's Day Nail Art!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! For this simple design, I was inspired by the colors of the Irish flag - green, white and orange.

I started off with a coat of base coat and then painted each nail two coats of either Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Going Green, Wet & Wild Wild Shine French White Creme or Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Sun Kissed. Next, using a paint brush, I painted lines in a sort of weave pattern onto each nail. SK was used on top of GG, GG was used on top of FWC, FWC was used on top of SK.

St. Patrick's Day Green Gradient

Hey everyone! A few days ago I did a simple green gradient for St. Patrick's Day. I started off with a base coat and then two coats of Wet & Wild Wild Shine French White Creme. Then, I sponged Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Green With Envy about half way down each nail. Next, I used Nicole by OPI Make Mine Lime which was also sponged onto each nail about halfway down the GWE. After that, I sponged the final green about halfway down the MML section. The final and darkest green I used was Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Going Green! Finally, I finished off with a top coat.

Unfortunately there's a bit of tip wear, sorry about that!
